Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund – Ozark West Region is honored to recognize Tina H. as Volunteer of the Month for May 2022.
Tina began volunteering with our Baxter County team not long before the COVID pandemic hit. Then, as we all know, the world shut down. As things began to open back up, Tina was eager to get involved.
As a volunteer for ASPSF, Tina has taken the lead with application reviews. She also schedules and conducts interviews; helps with award programs; hands out checks; assists with fundraising; schedules meetings; recruits and helps train volunteers; and does anything else asked of her. She is also a wonderful point of contact for students.
Tina works in Adult Education as a SNAP ET / WAGE Coordinator and has dedicated many years to helping students reach their academic and career-related goals. Her current and past work experiences have given her a passion for working with our single parent students. Tina goes above and beyond to help our students, connect them to other resources, and is an integral part of our Baxter County team.
Tina’s favorite quote is, “The best minute you will ever spend is the one you invest in someone else.” She brings this quote to life through her job and her volunteer work with Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund.
