Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund is grateful for volunteers like Beth Weldon, the July Volunteer of the Month.

Beth is a familiar face to ASPSF, having previously served as a development manager. She brings extensive experience and strong community ties to her role as a volunteer for ASPSF’s Southwest Region, which includes Calhoun, Columbia, Hempstead, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada, Ouachita, and Union counties in Arkansas and Bowie County in Texas.

Beth plays an active role in scholarship interviews, application reviews, awards ceremonies, and community outreach.

“Her deep roots in Union County and broad local connections make her an invaluable asset in advancing our mission,” ASPSF Program Manager Sandra Warren said.

With 20 years of experience in fundraising and marketing, Beth’s background includes serving as vice president of marketing for First Financial Bank in Union County. She was also the executive director of United Way of Union County and the development director for the SHARE Foundation in El Dorado.

Beth’s community service spans several nonprofit boards, including the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Boy Scouts of America – DeSoto Council, LifeTouch Hospice, Rotary Club of El Dorado, and the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce.

A lifelong Union County resident, Beth and her husband Chuck have two grown children and are now enjoying life as new grandparents.

Thank you, Beth, for dedicating your time to help single parent students transform their lives through education!
