Birttany’s Road to Success: ASPSF 2024 Annual Report

For Brittany, every day is a step toward a brighter future for herself, her children, and her students.

For 10 years, she focused on providing for her three children, and even more so after a divorce. She worked in the education sector to make ends meet, but deep down, she knew she wanted more — not just for herself but also for her family.

So Brittany enrolled in online classes at Reach University to become a certified special education teacher.

“I returned to school to better my family’s life,” Brittany said. “I love what I do and want to take it further to make a difference for our future leaders.”

Now in her third year of school, she is a pro at studying for classes, working full-time as a paraprofessional at Clarendon High School, coaching softball, and raising her children — all while maintaining straight A’s.

 “The biggest thing I’m proud of is that I’m doing all this with no family support — just me and my kids,” Brittany said. “I’m showing them that no matter what life throws at you, you can keep going.” 

Brittany’s journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s determined to cross every obstacle. Your donations to Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund are building a bridge that helps Brittany move forward, not only with financial assistance but also with encouragement that keeps her going.

“The scholarship helped me pay bills and buy groceries,” she said. “But more than that, ASPSF staff and volunteers check in on me, sharing kind words. It is more than my own family has done, and it makes me happy to have people like that in my life.”
