Welcome back my lovely readers! With all of the new Avengers: Doomsday teasers dropping, I thought it would be fun to chime in on the ongoing debate of DC versus Marvel. Let me be clear, I am not a comic book girly, but I love to watch the movies and tv shows based on them. I want to first give my opinions on both sides of the coin.

    DC

Now when it comes to the DC universe, I will say that I do enjoy watching the movies. Right now, my sister is loving the most recent Superman movie especially. Within the DC universe you have your classics like Superman, the Flash, and everyone’s favorite villain, the Joker. I really feel that the television shows that aired on The CW were some of the universes’ best screen adaptations. Trust me, when it was on the air, The Flash was my show! There’s no hate to DC because it is truly great, but it sadly does not trump Marvel for me.

    Marvel

I am absolutely a Marvel girly through and through. I mean they have Iron Man, Spiderman, and Captain America. You can’t have all three of them and not win this debate. I feel like the Marvel universe just has it all. From comedy and action to drama and even a bit of romance, there is nothing lacking in this universe. I also feel like the actor selection and character development are top tier. I feel like I understand the plot of the movies and can truly grasp how all the movies continue into each other and are a part of one big storyline too. With the DC movies, I feel like I don’t really get that (or at least my brain can’t).

No matter which side you choose, you’ll be thoroughly entertained either way and find something to enjoy. I hope you guys enjoyed the read and maybe decide to check out Avengers: Doomsday when it comes out at the end of the year.
