FSA has released a new service update for EDExpress for Windows 2025–26, Release 2.0, introducing Campus-Based functionality. This update enables schools to report Federal Work-Study (FWS) data to the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System using the Campus-Based Common Record schema (version 1.0b), effective June 29, 2025.
Key Features:
- Campus-Based Functionality: Schools can now define profiles for FWS reporting, add new FWS records manually or via import, export Campus-Based Common Record documents to the COD System, and import processed results. Enhancements have also been made to Browse, Query, and Reports functionalities.
fsapartners.ed.gov - Software Issue Resolutions: The update addresses various software issues from earlier releases, including an error that prevented the automatic update of the EDconnect Transmission Queue after exporting data from EDExpress.
Installation Guidance:
- The service release installation file (EDE26_June2025_ReleaseV1.exe) is available in the Software and Other Tools area of the Knowledge Center website.
- Run the installation on all PC workstations with EDExpress 2025–26, Release 2.0 installed.
- After installation, verify the update by checking for the text “June 2025 patch” under “Release 2.0” on the EDExpress login screen or in the “About” section of the software.
