How Nishika Almost Maxed Out SAT Math with Prep Expert –

    Share

    Challenge

Nishika Singhal entered Prep Expert’s SAT course looking for improvement, especially in math. Her previous score on the math section was 680 (from the March 2024 SAT), and while she felt relatively steady in reading, she wanted to push her math score to the next level.

“I was able to improve my SAT math score up to a 750 and am just 2–3 questions away from getting an 800 on the math module.”

But like many students, Nishika also faced anxiety around practice testing and wanted to feel more confident walking into the real exam.

    Solution

Nishika worked with instructor Taylor Trautwein, who she describes as open, responsive, and always looking for ways to adapt the class based on student needs.

“She was constantly trying to find ways where she could lead the lesson in a way where we would be benefitted the most.”

Taylor fostered a comfortable classroom environment, encouraging open communication, feedback, and active participation.

Nishika also found the hard math quizzes, SAT-specific vocabulary lists, and checklists on the Prep Expert dashboard especially helpful.

“The hard math quizzes were extremely beneficial and that is what probably allowed me to have such a great improvement on the math module.”

The vocabulary prep helped Nishika better understand reading passages, and the checklists reduced her test anxiety by helping her feel consistently prepared.

“It allowed me to reduce test anxiety prior to taking the practice tests as well as during. I am expecting this to happen even during the day of the actual test because of how reassuring it is to have a checklist.”

    Results

Thanks to Prep Expert’s structure and Taylor’s guidance, Nishika achieved:

✅ 70-point improvement in SAT Math (from 680 to 750)
✅ Increased mastery of test strategies through high-impact quizzes
✅ Lower test anxiety thanks to structured prep and checklist tools
    ✅ A near-perfect performance, now consistently just 2–3 questions from 800

    Recommendation

From score gains to peace of mind, Nishika’s experience highlights what happens when the right strategy meets the right support system.
