There’s nothing I hate more than bad skin days. No matter how much foundation, concealer, BB cream, or color corrector I apply, I feel like my pores are always shining through and my blemishes are sticking out like a sore thumb. On these days I wish I could just hide in bed all day so no one has to see my face. But as a typical college student, this is impossible – I’m always out running to class, the gym, and attending meetings and doing homework in between. Whether I like it or not, everyone else has to experience my bad skin day too.
But there’s light at the end of the tunnel! There’s so many products that Estée Lauder offers to help fight these bad skin days and treat even the most active person’s skin. Their new Nutritious line offers a clean and fresh solution to bad skin and makes your skincare routine feel like a healthy part of your daily routine!
I recently tried their Nutritious Melting Soft Creme/Mask. This product is meant to minimize pores, hydrate your skin, and bring out your natural glow. It is infused with so many amazing ingredients like sweet kept, fermented red algae, and coconut water. When it comes to skin type, this creme/mask is perfect for anyone with normal, oily, or combination skin. This is perfect for me because with the warmer weather around the corner, I could really use something that moisturizes my skin without making me look greasy.
My first impression of this product is that the packaging is adorable. It came in a pink, ombre box and the product itself sits in a chic, matte, pink pot that looks way too cute on my vanity. Another first impression of this product is its texture. The creme is on the thicker side but not as thick as other products like a clay mask. This creme is still thin enough to be applied and not feel like a layer of lotion is sitting on top of your skin (which is the worst feeling ever). Instead this creme is a perfect inbetween of a thin, light moisturizer and a thick, nourishing mask. You get the best of both worlds! Another final impression is the product’s scent – or, I should say, lack of scent. The creme is completely unscented, making it perfect for anyone who is sensitive to different fragrances. The lack of scent also adds to the ‘lightness’ of the product and makes me confident that I’m not applying something super unnatural and processed to my skin.
Applying the creme was incredibly easy. I used my fingertips to grab some of the creme from the pot and apply it on my face, starting in my T-zone, in small circular motions until my entire face was covered by a thin film that was just barely visible sitting on my skin. I let it sit for 5 minutes until rubbing the rest of the product in (or you can tissue it off like the directions suggest). After rubbing it in, my skin felt soft, hydrated, and glowy, and my pores were minimized! The directions suggest to use this as a mask once a week or apply in the morning and evening every day as a creme. I personally really enjoyed using it as a mask, so I plan on repeating this process next week!
I definitely see myself using this creme/mask in the future. With summer right around the corner, this is the perfect creme I can use on a regular basis to minimize my pores and give my skin an extra glow, and use as a weekly mask to really hydrate my skin without making it oily. Estée Lauder’s Nutritious Melting Soft Creme/Mask is the perfect addition to my skincare routine to make sure I’m nourishing my skin and keeping it as healthy as can be, and it’s definitely becoming a staple item in my morning and evening routines for the summer! I can’t wait to skip the bikini body diet this summer and instead focus on making my skin healthier – and Nutritious!
