Janna Worbington graduated in 2022 from Central Baptist College. Her two sons and younger brother celebrated the achievement with her.
Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund is excited to honor Janna Worbington as the Volunteer of the Month for March 2023.
Janna began volunteering with the ASPSF West Central Region last fall, right after graduating from Central Baptist College summa cum laude with a stellar 3.94 GPA and as a member of the Alpha Chi National Honors Society. She received a single parent scholarship for four years while working on her bachelor’s degree in business administration.
As a single parent student, she not only studied while raising her children, but she also worked as a Personnel Associate I at Centennial Bank in Conway. After graduating, Janna received a promotion to Employee Relations Specialist in the Human Resources Department at the bank.
Seeing how ASPSF helped her achieve her career dreams, Janna reached out to Program Manager Daphne Scott to see how she could give back and help other single parents in her community. And in her short time as an ASPSF volunteer, Janna has conducted interviews with applicants for not one but two scholarship cycles!
