Little Rock, Ark. (Jan. 26, 2023) — Nonprofit Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) is the newest member of the Little Rock Regional Chamber. The two organizations recognized the occasion with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
About two dozen people attended the event, held at the chamber’s downtown little rock office. ASPSF shared its mission and services with chamber members present.
“We work every day to serve single parent students as they work to complete their postsecondary education, open doors to better employment right here in your local businesses, make a better income, and raise their families out of poverty,” ASPSF Executive Director Ruthanne Hill said.

Last year, ASPSF assisted about 250 Central Arkansas single parents with scholarships and supportive services, ASPSF Program Manager Keisha Smith added. That’s an increase from 59 students in 2019.
“This group is doing a lot of great work and growing,” Chamber Ambassador and Keller Williams Realty Executive Broker Karl Freeman said. “They could still use your help, or they might be able to help you!”
ASPSF’s Little Rock office is located at 2102 Riverfront Drive, Suite 102. The statewide nonprofit provides scholarships and wraparound services to low-income single parents working on professional and trade school certificates, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. New students, volunteers, and donors are always welcome to join the ASPSF family.
