    There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

    Only brief information about each scholarship is listed. Therefore, you are encouraged to visit the scholarship websites to get further details about eligibility and requirements.

    Here are 22 scholarships for Saturday, August 30, 2025.

    First Responders Scholarship
    Sponsor: McCraw Law Group
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: August 31, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to aspiring first responders, first responders continuing their education, or anyone who has been majorly impacted by a first responder. Applicant must be currently enrolled in a college, university, graduate, or law school with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants can be from outside of Texas, but there will be preference given to students within McKinney, Denton, Frisco, Amarillo, and Sulphur Springs.

    Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship
    Sponsor: Fund for Education Abroad
    Amount: Up to $5,000
    Closing Date: September 17, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the U.S. Applicant must be planning to study abroad and program must be eligible for credit at the student’s educational institution.

    International Association of Minister’s Wives & Widows Scholarship
    Sponsor: International Association of Minister’s Wives & Widows
    Amount: Up to $2,500
    Closing Date: September 17, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to current HBCU college students with at least a 2.5 GPA.

    DDSRank Dental Scholarship
    Sponsor: DDSRank
    Amount: $500.00
    Closing Date: September 20, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college and graduate students who want to pursue a career as a dentist or dental hygienist.

    Innovation in Education Scholarship
    Sponsor: LaTutors
    Amount: $500.00
    Closing Date: September 20, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

    Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Scholarship
    Sponsor: Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation | UNCF
    Amount: $5,312.50
    Closing Date: September 22, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to college freshmen attending a UNCF member institution, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), or any accredited, four-year institution and is interested in majoring in education and/or a STEM related field. Applicant must be a resident of Indiana, Kentucky, or Ohio.

    Elaine B. Hancock Endowed Scholarship
    Sponsor: UNCF
    Amount: Up to $5,000
    Closing Date: September 22, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to African-American students at UNCF member institutions or Howard University. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be a college junior or senior attending on a full-time basis, and have financial need as verified by the financial aid office.

    Ethical Torch Essay Scholarship
    Sponsor: BBB Pacific Southwest
    Amount: Up to $1,500
    Closing Date: September 22, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students in grade 9-12 (graduating classes of 2026-2029) residing and enrolled in school in Orange County (California). Applicant must submit an essay on a ethical issue that they faced and how they handled it.

    Justice for All Scholarship
    Sponsor: The Bettersworth Law Firm
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: September 22, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a career in the legal profession, law enforcement, or are pursuing a degree in pre-law or government. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “Why do you want to enter this profession? Please make sure to include how your life has been impacted by a member of the legal community.”

    Liz Colantuono & Mark Sanz Endowment Scholarship
    Sponsor: UNCF
    Amount: Up to $4,400
    Closing Date: September 22, 2025
    Description: Scholarships are open to Native Americans or refugees or children of adult refugees or a child of a refugee who are currently enrolled or have been accepted to a 4-year U.S. Based accredited institution. Preference is given to residents of Montana, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico or Idaho.

    AEF Scholarships
    Sponsor: Acorn Equality Fund
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: September 26, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students who will retain permanent residence in the AEF service area of downstate Illinois and attend any accredited, post-secondary educational institution. Scholarships are designed to provide academic financial support for gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered students, allies, or the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered parents.
