    There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

    Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship Program
    Sponsor: Nebraska’s Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship program is open to low-income high school students to enroll in college courses from Nebraska college or universities, either through dual-enrollment or early enrollment agreements with the institutions. Deadline is for Summer term classes.

    AiryHair Cosmetology Scholarship
    Sponsor: AiryHair Hair Extensions
    Amount: Up to $1,000
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to American and Canadian citizens who have chosen or will choose Cosmetology as their major.

    American Legion Baseball Scholarship
    Sponsor: American Legion
    Amount: Up to $5,000
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to high school graduates who play baseball and are nominated by a head coach or manager.

    Come Back Stronger Scholarship
    Sponsor: Fasig | Brooks Law Offices
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students . Applicant must submit an essay that discusses “a life-altering obstacle you faced in your life. This can be an injury, illness, loss of a loved one or any other major event. What did you learn from facing this obstacle, and how did you rise above it?”

    CRMA Scholarship
    Sponsor: Chicago Railroad Mechanical Association (CRMA)
    Amount: Up to $2,000
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to sons, daughters, adopted children, grandchildren, and stepchildren of members of the CRMA who have maintained current membership in the Association. Applicant must be enrolled at the time of application as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.

    Future Journalism Teacher Scholarships
    Sponsor: Journalism Education Association
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to education majors who intend to teach scholastic journalism. Applicant must submit a short personal essay, an application form, two recommendation letters, and their college transcript.

    Gamewardens Scholarships
    Sponsor: Gamewardens Association Inc.
    Amount: $2,000.00
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarships are open to sons, daughters, and grandchildren of a Gamewarden.

    GSF Scholarship
    Sponsor: Good Samaritan Foundation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to current Nursing students. Applicant must provide a letter of intent, letter of recommendation, copy of an unofficial transcript, color photo, and a professional resume.

    Hopi Tribe Scholarship Program
    Sponsor: The Hopi Tribe
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to Hopi students pursuing post-secondary and professional degrees.

    Joseph J. Fitzsimmons Scholarship
    Sponsor: US Judo Federation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students in their first or second year of medical school who are USJF members.

    Nickelson Family Essay Scholarship
    Sponsor: Freethought Day
    Amount: $2,500.00
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to recent California high school graduates who plan to pursue post-secondary education at a community college, four-year college, trade school, or vocation school. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt, “the separation of church and state, being good without religion, living in a secular society, Christian nationalism, or religious bigotry.”

    NurseThink – AACN Scholarship
    Sponsor: American Association of Colleges of Nursing
    Amount: $5,000.00
    Closing Date: July 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in master’s and doctoral nursing programs at AACN member institutions who have a desire to become future nurse faculty.
