    There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

    Varsity Tutors College Scholarship Contest
    Sponsor: Varsity Tutors
    Amount: $200.00
    Closing Date: May 15, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 16 years of age or older. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “If you had unlimited time and money, how would you use what you’ve learned in school to create a positive impact on the world?”

    Louise Tumarkin Zazove Foundation Scholarship
    Sponsor: Louise Tumarkin Zazove Foundation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: May 23, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate students with a significant bilateral hearing loss (at least a 50 dB unaided hearing loss in both ears). Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

    Mometrix College Scholarships
    Sponsor: Mometrix Test Preparation
    Amount: Up to $1,000
    Closing Date: May 23, 2025
    Description: Scholarships are open to current high school seniors through college juniors. Applicant must share a little bit about themselves as well as their plans for college.

    Mometrix Graduate School Scholarships
    Sponsor: Mometrix Test Preparation
    Amount: Up to $1,000
    Closing Date: May 23, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to anyone who will be considered a full-time graduate student during the upcoming academic year at an accredited graduate school/program in the United States. Applicant must share a little bit about themselves and their plans for graduate school.

    NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
    Sponsor: National Collegiate Athletic Association
    Amount: Up to $10,000
    Closing Date: May 23, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to student athletes who have achieved in their last year of varsity-level intercollegiate spring athletics at an NCAA school. Applicant must be nominated by the faculty athletic representative or athletic director and be enrolling as a full- or part-time graduate students. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

    NEWH | Sunshine Chapter
    Sponsor: NEWH: The Hospitality Industry Network – Sunshine Chapter
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: May 25, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited college in Florida (Central – Northern) or Mississippi. Applicant must have completed at least half the requirements for a degree and must be pursuing a career objective in the Hospitality industry (Hotel/Restaurant management, Culinary, Food Service, Architecture, Design, etc.)

    Philadelphia Foundation Scholarships
    Sponsor: The Philadelphia Foundation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: May 26, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who are residents of the Greater Philadelphia region (which includes Burlington and Camden counties in New Jersey and Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania. There are over 200 scholarships – see website for details.

    Andrea R. Lacy “Grit Award” Scholarship
    Sponsor: Luv’s Brownies
    Amount: $500.00
    Closing Date: May 27, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have maintained an overall average GPA of 3.0 and have demonstrated academic promise and continuous GPA improvement during high school. Applicant should have a track record of community service as well as demonstrated financial need. Applicant must submit an essay describing their “grit story” and two letters of recommendation.

    CBSMF Scholarship
    Sponsor: Charles B. Staats Memorial Foundation
    Amount: Up to $3,000
    Closing Date: May 27, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors from the Metro Atlanta area. Applicant must have demonstrated swim coach experience for at least two years.

    Christopher Mark Pitkin Memorial Scholarship
    Sponsor: Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: May 27, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, and Santa Barbara Counties, California. Applicant must have a bleeding disorder or must have an immediate family member with a bleed disorder.

    Dr. Earl James Fahringer Performing Arts Scholarship
    Sponsor: Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California
    Amount: $1,000.00
    Closing Date: May 27, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to residents of the following Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, Inyo, or Santa Barbara. Applicant must be a person with a bleeding disorder OR have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder. Applicant must be accepted into an educational/vocational institution and plan to be studying education in the performing arts: music, art, drama, film, or dance.
