    There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

    NAFB Scholarship Program
    Sponsor: NAFB Foundation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: June 2, 2025
    Description: Scholarships are open to college juniors, seniors, and graduate students for the Fall 2025 semester who are enrolled in or transferring to an agricultural communications curriculum. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with concentration and/or application in broadcast media.

    Peace Keepers Scholarship
    Sponsor: Illinois Sheriffs’ Association
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: June 2, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to Illinois residents who are the dependents of active duty or retired Law Enforcement or Law Enforcement killed in the line of duty or dependents of active duty military, active Military Reserve, active National Guard or a member killed in action. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at an institution of higher learning in Illinois during the upcoming school year.

    SchoolHouse Connection and Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program
    Sponsor: SchoolHouse Connection
    Amount: $2,500.00
    Closing Date: June 2, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to students currently residing in the United States (undocumented applicants are eligible) who were born on or after June 2, 2005. Applicant must begin college (four year, community college, or trade school) for the first time in 2026-2027 academic year (not including dual-enrollment courses). This applies to high school juniors, high school seniors planning to take a gape year, and students receiving a GED and planning to begin college for the first time in the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicant must have experienced homelessness in the last six years.

    Student Video Contest
    Sponsor: American Road & Transportation Builders Association
    Amount: Up to $500
    Closing Date: June 2, 2025
    Description: Contest is open to students in elementary school through graduate school. Contestant must submit a video on transportation infrastructure.

    Terry Bryant Scholarship
    Sponsor: Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law
    Amount: $2,500.00
    Closing Date: June 2, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a short video in response to the following prompt: “If you had up to one minute with your younger self at the time you started high school, what advice would you give on how to stay safe on city streets – whether as a driver, passenger, cyclist, or pedestrian?”

    Student Teacher Scholarship
    Sponsor: Hawaii Education Association
    Amount: $2,000.00
    Closing Date: June 3, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to student teachers intending to teach in the Hawaii State Department of Education and who are enrolled in a State Approved Teacher Education Program as a full-time undergraduate or post baccalaureate candidate in any state-approved or nationally accredited institution of higher learning in the upcoming academic year.

    Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools Scholarship
    Sponsor: UNCF | Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools
    Amount: $7,500.00
    Closing Date: June 3, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in the Class of 2025 within the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School District. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited four-year institution for the Fall 2025 Semester as a Freshman. This scholarship also encourage students to pursue a career in the field of education.

    Stuck at Prom Scholarship
    Sponsor: ShurTech Brands, LLC
    Amount: Up to $15,000
    Closing Date: June 4, 2025
    Description: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the Untied States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and all U.S. territories and possessions (excluding Colorado, Maryland, North Dakota, and Nebraska) who are at least 14 years of age at the time of entry. Contestant must create and wear their original and unique promwear using Duck brand duct tap and/or Duck brand crafting tape.

    American Advertising Federation-New Mexico Scholarship
    Sponsor: Albuquerque Community Foundation
    Amount: Up to $1,400
    Closing Date: June 5, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to New Mexico residents enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student in his or her junior or senior year, as well as graduate students. Applicant must be studying Business with a marketing emphasis, strategic communications, advertising and marketing, graphic design, fine arts, photography, or illustration while maintaining a career focus in advertising or public relations.

    Andrew Piech Memorial Scholarship
    Sponsor: Albuquerque Community Foundation
    Amount: Up to $2,200
    Closing Date: June 5, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to current college students in New Mexico who are/will be studying an Automotive Technology or related Applied Technologies field.

    David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship
    Sponsor: Albuquerque Community Foundation
    Amount: Varies
    Closing Date: June 5, 2025
    Description: Scholarship is open to New Mexico graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Metals Technology during the upcoming academic year.
