Why it works as a gift
Many wireless chargers are plastic pucks that look like tech; the Valet is designed to look like a tray. Twelve South pairs genuine Nappa leather with a weighted zinc alloy base that gives it some heft on a desk or nightstand. The 4.25-inch model charges a phone wirelessly at up to 25W through Qi2.2 and has a second, 10W USB-C port for another device, such as a watch or an e-reader, according to Twelve South.
It measures 9.75 by 4.25 by 1.5 inches, a footprint that fits a desk beside a laptop, an entry table or a nightstand, and the cable is routed out of sight. The leather tray doubles as the place keys, cards and a watch land at the end of the day, which is what makes it feel like a considered object rather than another charger. The brown finish reads warm and traditional; Twelve South also makes this size in Black and in Taupe.
Twelve South says authorized purchases made on or after June 1, 2026 carry a two-year warranty. At this price it is a generous personal gift or a good team gift for a manager. For someone with an older phone that can't charge wirelessly, a plain leather valet tray or card sleeve is the safer choice.
